Raymond Fowler and Priscilla Burr merged their abilities in 1986 to form a private practice specializing in residential architecture. The team's guiding principles are to effectively draw from historical reference and to explore every architectural avenue, while creating beautiful, functional and environmentally responsive architecture.
Their love of historical buildings and artistry of the past centuries have led the team to a great diversity of style in their practice. With projects ranging from classical to vernacular to modern, their versatility is apparent in projects in Florida, Washington State, Colorado and New York.
The architect's journey in architecture involves hands-on experience in the construction of design-build projects in the early stages of their practice, and in historic preservation of their own home and office. These experiences have taught the team valuable lessons in designing within the context of cost control and aesthetics. The team is able to advise their clients in all aspects of architecture, cost control and budget.
Their study of tropical architecture almost naturally led to an interest in South Florida native horticulture, and for the last ten years, they have developed a nursery on their ten-acre property in the Redlands, called The Architects Tree.
